From November 22 to 26, 2021, the company participated in the Conference on DNA Metabolism, Genome Stability and Human Diseases organized by The Cold Spring Harbor Asia Conferences in Suzhou, China, and Prof. Yu Xiaochun addressed speeches as an invited speaker.
The conference consisted of eight oral sessions and one poster session on the latest discoveries in DNA metabolism. Sessions were selected from publicly submitted abstracts based on their scientific value and relevancy. Social events throughout the conference provided ample opportunities for informal interactions.
The main topics are:
1. DNA replication and replication forks stability
2. DNA damage repair
3. Chromatin structure and DNA metabolism
4. Genomic instability and disease
In addition to the regular presentations and poster sessions, Cold Spring Harbor Asia also organized a series of cocktail parties, dinners, balls or concerts. The relaxed atmosphere eliminated all the barriers of the participants from their backgrounds, bringing them closer together and providing an opportunity for each to be inspired by one another.
The various interactions at this conference were much more than presentations, which still provided benefit. Instead of the traditional one-way transmission of information, the communication channels for scientific discussions were multiple and open. There is no doubt that this discussion will not only provide a front international exchange platform for the participants, but also promote their growth and broaden their scientific horizons, which in some way pushed for the positive development of academic culture in Asia.
